Chelsea Flat

London, UK

Built in the mid-19th century, this Queen Anne style building is a part of the Sloane Square Conservation Area. Purchased as a pied-a-terre, the clients requested the addition of a third bedroom and a complete overhaul of the existing roof-top conservatory kitchen.

Through the gut renovation of the property we were able to relocate the stairway to the kitchen which made way for numerous plan improvements. Not only was the coveted third bedroom formed, but we were also able to enlarge the living space and add a third bathroom. The glass and metal roof-top conservatory was completely removed and replaced with a solid roof and wood-framed walls featuring new windows looking out over the Victoria & Albert Museum. Modern finishes and detailing were added throughout the flat to create a minimal but lush retreat for the clients.
